Welcome to Seeking a New Adventure. This is a site to share travel ideas and experiences. Here we can contribute our travels waterborne cruise travels. We can post those interesting places near where we live, and the more distant places we have seen. There are places we have thought about seeing; travels we thought about.
Sometimes we wonder what others have experienced; sometimes we want some handy pointers and helpful hints.
Sometimes we want to share something which made us laugh.
Sometimes we just want to see images of other people’s experiences, even if just to compare with our own, or live a little vicariously.
Well, here is a sharing opportunity.
why do we travel
That’s always a good question. We feel:
- Travel sharpens the mind.
- Travel gives us a shift in perspective.
- Travel gives us a chance to try new things.
- Travel gives us a chance to meet new people.
- Travel gives us the chance to see the “real deal”.
- Travel gives us the chance for sunshine and exercise.
- Travel gives us the chance to come home renewed.
- To spend our children’s inheritance.
So, let’s pack our bags and go!

*We will not publish photos which feature children in any way. We will also not post pictures which we deem offensive (no nudity or suggested nudity). We will not edit a submitted photo or video, but do reserve the right to restrict material we consider questionable.
How this will work
This is an evolving site; meaning content depends on the direction readers take, and how they contribute. It will also depend on suggestions from readers.
- To begin with, if you look at this home page, you will see a number of pull-down sections. They represent general areas and can be changed and supplemented with other sections.
- Readers are invited to send in comments in response to the postings.
- When a comment is submitted, it will go to our inbox. We will review it, and as long as it adheres to the “word of caution”, it will be published on the site, without edits.
- There is a “Blog” section where members are welcome to post an original narrative, possibly of a particular adventure or experience. We ask that any posts submitted be about 750 words in length…or shorter. Do not send copyrighted material (We don’t want to get into trouble).
- Anyone wishing to submit to the “Blog”, please suggest your entry through the “Contact” page; we will then give you our email address with some guidelines and questions we may have, then you can submit your narrative as an attachment. We can review it and format it to post. We will not edit your blog post, but will add your name to the posting (no other personal information).
- Should a comment be deemed questionable, we will get back to you for clarification.
- There is a “Contact” page in the main menu. If you have a suggestion or a general comment which does not necessarily fit one of the other sections, feel free to use the “Contact”.
- At some point, we can envision a FAQ page being added.
- Basically…have fun.
